Documents Required for Company Registration in India

To register a private limited company in India, you typically need identity and address proof for all directors, proof of the registered office address, and a Digital Signature Certificate — plus a few company-specific documents.

Documents for Directors/Partners

• PAN card (mandatory for Indian nationals)
• Aadhaar card or Voter ID/Passport/Driving License
• Passport-size photograph
• Proof of address (bank statement or utility bill, not older than 2 months)

Documents for Registered Office

• Utility bill (electricity/water/gas) not older than 2 months
• Rent agreement (if rented) or ownership proof (if owned)
• No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the property owner

Additional Requirements

• Digital Signature Certificate (DSC) for all proposed directors
• Director Identification Number (DIN) — generated during the SPICe+ filing itself for new companies
• Proposed company name(s) for approval via the RUN service
• Memorandum of Association (MOA) and Articles of Association (AOA)
